Description: Avon Oaks Country Club is searching for a Head Equipment Manager. This position entails repairing and maintaining all golf course equipment. Our equipment fleet includes mowers, tractors, sprayers and utility vehicles from Toro, John Deere, and Smitchco. Our maintenance facility is equipped with new tools and tool boxes as well as a golf lift and bedknife and reel grinders. Job responsibilities include:
- Make repairs and follow a preventatve maintenance plan for all equipment
- Communicate with Golf Course Superintendent and staff for proper equipment setup for daily use
- Working knowledge of turf equipment and the ability to train staff in safe and proper operation
- Daily check of quality of cut and mower adjustment
- Sharpening and grinding of all reel and rotary mowers
- Diagnosing and making repairs in the field
- Ordering/Receiving parts, tracking inventory and maintaining records
- Maintaining a safe, organized and clean shop/work area and equipment storage areas
Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, health, dental and vision insurance, 401K, vacation, uniforms, paid EM GCSAA Dues, Golf Privileges
